Responding with Love

Join us for an evening of celebration, storytelling, and shared purpose as our community gathers to support refugee and immigrant families rebuilding their lives here in Northern Indiana. Doors open at 6:00 PM, welcoming guests into a warm, hospitable space where connection begins the moment you arrive. At 6:30, we will share a dinner and hear firsthand stories of hope, resilience, and transformation.

This year’s featured speaker, Valdetta Gegaj, will offer a powerful perspective shaped by her own journey from a refugee camp in a Muslim country to the peacemaking work she is involved in today. Her story reflects the courage, faith, and determination we see every day in the families we serve. Throughout the evening, guests will also hear updates from iHouse programs, including English language learning, medical advocacy, trauma healing, Joy Club, Women’s Club, and the community‑building work that helps families move from crisis to stability and from isolation to belonging.

The evening is more than a fundraiser; it is a celebration of God’s faithfulness and the shared calling to welcome the stranger with dignity, compassion, and love. Together, we honor the stories of our neighbors and invest in the ongoing work of hope and restoration.
