Try to imagine life in our city if you did not speak English; had no friends or family; could not drive a car; did not understand our medical, educational, and monetary systems; practiced a religion foreign to the community; and ate foods not available in our grocery stores. Everyday tasks that we routinely undertake, such as grocery shopping or going to the doctor, would take extraordinary time and effort, if accomplished at all.

If even one person would reach out to help you work through this overwhelming transition, it would make all the difference in the world.

International House functions as a relational bridge for those in the Christian community who want to participate in the vision of reaching out to local internationals. iHouse is an organization of over 200 volunteers, interns, and independent supported workers devoted to reaching out to immigrants and refugees.
